Atlantis Pyramid: Neutral emblem for peace and harmony. An unfortunate fact is that even in these enlightened times there are still many issues that cause global discord. The sure fact is that the world is not the peaceful place that it ought to be. The reasons for this are many. Principally though they centre around ages old animosities deriving from lack of trust and suspicion. It follows therefore that if this self perpetuating cycle of mistrust is finally broken the world will be a much safer place. |

Neutral Zone. In order to accentuate this important precept we propose the following idea. It is the creation of neutral territory within each nation on Earth - a totally independent zone within each country to be dedicated to the idea of a united planet. Capping this area will be a miniature of the principal iconic emblem - a miniature pyramid. We believe this neutral area can be reserved for important discussions and cultural activities that do not carry with them the weight of a particular national identity. In this way the ideal of a united planet can be made reality on a scale that although limited would provide an important step to universal peace and harmony. Atlantis Pyramid. It would also be our desire that the Atlantis Pyramid occupied just such a neutral zone within the national borders of the host country. In this way the Atlantis Pyramid would achieve its true aim as a monument for the whole of humanity. |
